My Entrecard Status

I wanted to write about Entrecard since some time ago, but I had no time. The last time I write about my Entrecard status I was in the top 30 of popular entrecarders, then I was out, and now I'm in again.

I don't know what was exactly the reason why I'm back in the top30 but I think it's because a good advertising.

I was in the middle, but now I'm descending, maybe for tomorrow I'm not there anymore, and I was not in home yesterday so I couldn't drop or buy advertising (OH! MY! I DON'T HAVE ANY ANDERTISING FOR TODAY!!!), now I have too much work to do. My dropping today and tomorrow is going to be dedicated to reciprocate every card I couldn't yesterday :( but I'll do.

It goes up sometimes and then foes down, but now is going down. This last is at 1pm, so maybe it'll get better.

Advert Click

If I don't buy advertising soon, I'll die.

Here's a tip, if you can buy 2 advertising in the big ones, try them to be the same day, maybe it could seem something stupid, but it really work, you manage to get a lot of clicks one day and then you work for the other and go up almost easily. Well, I think it was the key.

These use to be more stable, but I think they should be even more now that I'm in the top30, but it's not much like that.

Your Drops

Very irregular? Yes some days I Entrecard just don't let me drop cards, I hate that, but I'm subscribed to my inbox and this lets me reciprocate every drop. Today I have not dropped, I'll start when I end this post.

I'm closer to reach my goal, that's being in the top5.

Buy a Review in 2 of My Blogs for 400ec

Well, for now I can't accept more applies for reviews, I can't handle that many, sorry. When I'd have finished with the current I'll accept again. But maybe the price will increase, because as I expected it's too much work for just 400ec (I have even received more ec from some Entrecarders, they know it's too cheap and they are very kind too, thanks), I hope not rise the price too much =).

I have been a little busy this last days, and I couldn't update this blogs as frequently as I'd like, but I think it's for something good, I have been working with WordPress.

As many of you should know by now, there have been some changes in the way you make templates for blogger, and I don't like them at all. So what did I do? Simple, just hired a server, and installed WordPress, well it wasn't so simple, I have had problems with this, and WordPress is not as simple as Blogger when it comes to modify the Template (Theme).

So this is what I'm working in: Asian Kawaii. It's still in test status, I'm using this to practice WordPress.

The Bargain

Well, to the point, because of this right now I need EC's so badly that I'll make reviews for the site you like (that you own at Entrecard) for only 400ec, maybe you think it's too much, but it's not. And that's because the review will be not only here in Android's Dungeon (PR2) but I'll post it in Spanish in Calabozo del Androide, my PR3 page with more than 1500 visits and about 4000 hits a day (You Know it's much more than the Average Entrecarder Page Including this one).

So what can you do with 400ec at Entrecard Right Now? All popular Entrecard's are above 400ec, so not that. And how much does it cost 400ec in dollars? In Entrecard's shop you can get 1000ec for only 5 dollars... I have just read that, and I don't want to continue this post... anyway, 400ec should be like 2 dollars or something like this. A review in Android's paid by Sponsored Reviews.com costs up to 40 dollars, and one in Calabozo del Androide up to 100 dollars, (I just don't make Sponsored Reviews because of the Google penalty I've read about).

So you will receive for your Entrecard Credits:

- A Review in this site (two text link) which Entrecard costs 374 for now (it's because the lack of Entrecard work lately, it use to cost more than 400).

- A Review in CalabozodelAndroide.com, (two text links) which PR3 was forged after a change of domain when it was PR3 already, and I started from PR0 again, but It still ranks in the first page for many of my posts in Spanish and Latinoamerican Google.

-And that's not all (ok, now I feel like in an Infomercial), I'll add to all that a Text Link for the last 5 reviewed pages in the right sidebar of this blog, but it's only in this blog.

What You Need to apply.

- Have a cool site: I'll make reviews of almost every Page I'm asked for, but I can make exceptions, you know for extremely bad sites.

- Being an Entrecarder, the site of your choice for review have to be owned by you and have to be registered in Entrecard.

- Having content: I will not make product reviews, only content review, if you sell something in your page I don't care, I'll just review the content of your blog.

This will be for only limited time, I don't really think 400ec is worth all the work of a review but I want to give it a try. And I don't know how it will be received.

The reviews will stay in my Sites Forever, but this announce will not. The Text Links will stay there until five other reviews push you out, or a month long, the first to come (obviously).

Entrecard Top 30 most popular

Finally after one month and one day of work in Entrecard today I made it to the top 30 most popular Entrecard, among more than 5000 Entrecarders.

It didn't last too much, but at least I know I'm close now. (Again!)

Entrecard (Starting to get on my nerves?)

Well yes, I get mad easily and kick my PC when a page don't load when I want it to. And Entrecard don't stop failing to load everyday not once but several times, and not only that, when I want to drop a card the widget don't show up and I have to refresh it. When I want to buy an advertise It just freeze and don't do anything... and many other things that don't have anything to do with the page like bad links by in the widgets (by the users) pages that haven't been updated in eras or that don't have anything at all (I'm one of those who like to read other's blogs while dropping cards, yes, we exist), hundreds and thousands of annoying things.

But, and this is a big but (hey, it sounds funny ^_^ ), today this annoying page drove 228 visits to this blog, and I think it can be worth the pain.

These are my statistic so far in Entrecard.

Cards dropped in my widget.

The radical change, after that I become one of the top 3 most popular in my category. I'm still waiting for the persons I asked before about the numbers of visit they received from my site, I hope it will be better. Today this number is 188 and it's the most dropped day.

Advert Clicks

When I had EC enough to advertise at the popular sites I started spending big amounts and it worked very well, then Entrecard's page started to playing games with me and sometimes I can't buy advertising in some sites because the page fails. Today the number is 85, but the most clicked day was 270.

Organic clicks

 

When my card became one of the top 3 most popular hobbies sites the clicks from Entrecard page increased obviously. Today the number is 143, and it's the best too.

I Take dropping Very Very Seriously

Or at least it's what my drop rank says. Some days Entrecard don't let me to drop 300 timer, and sometimes I drop more than that, now you can never now. Today the number is 306, but the most vicious day it was 390.

Changes since the last week

My Alexa Rank was then 42,727, and now it's 39,594. My readers increased from 27 to 32 (I know this is ridiculous). I reached the 10,000 unique visits this week, I'm happy for this but I still feel it's a bit slow, and daily visits are almost the same as the past week.

Ah, and one last thing changed, my Entrecard.

My Entrecard comeback

Finally I have the time to write about Entrecard. My comeback to Entrecard was not as successful as I expected, I used to be one of the most popular members always in the top ten but now it's not as easy as before. Now there are a lot of blogs registered and many of them drop 300 cards per day.

Now I'm trying hard to get in the top 3 of my category, but even just that is hard. When I leave Entrecard having a spot costing 100ec will make you in the top 30 most popular, now mine cost 214 and I'm not close to the top 3 of my category.

But one thing have not change, I spent hours reading blogs that I haven seen before, some very interesting, others not so interesting, some really well designed and others with a default blogger template.

Now I have one week exactly in Entrecard, and my daily visits counts have increased from 146 unique visits last Wednesday to 388 unique visits yesterday. That haven't changed either. My Alexa rank have come from 50,970 to 42,727. But my reader are not as good as my visits, I only have 25, and before this week I had 28 (edit: I have 27 now). My readers level have always been very low (by the way if you want to subscribe go here).

Today I've had 748 hits!!!

I know these numbers are not too much because I other sites that make much more than that and those are not in Entrecard (because they are in Spanish) but this blog is relatively new compared with the others and I almost didn't write until one week before.

One week ago if I asked Joan Joyce how his advertising was in that day, he answered me that he received 4 drops... it was quite too few compared with what I used to give before I leave Entrecard. But I have just asked Samuel Nova the same for his advertising yesterday and he told me he received 204 drops!

I still can't believe an advertising for one single day can give you so many visits, I mean, how much would it cost is it was not an Entrecard?

And one more thing that I like of writing here again is that I started to write about Jpop.

Entrecard vs Sayumi Michishige

Since 2 weeks ago I started to run a new blog about Jpop. This blog have the same template than this one with other color combination.

But this blog - Jpop Blog -  is in Spanish so I can't put an Entrecard there.

However, for making some visits I decided to place links, very visual link, in my other 2 blogs (yes I have 4 now), those other two blogs have some months running and have traffic of - calabozodelandroide- 1600 unique visits a day (4000hits) and - TechnOtaku - 900 unique visits a day(2000hits). They both are in Spanish so the links drive the same language readers.

Good points and bad point of each:

Myblogs pros- In my blogs I don't have to do anything to drive traffic to my new site, I just pasted the images and keep writing as always.

Entrecard cons- In Entrecard I have to work a lot to be one of the most popular and then have lots of visits.

Entrecard pros- It's amusing the work you have to do to become a popular member of Entrecard, you know new blogs and read a lot.

Myblogs cons- I use spots I could use for money making ads... if I'd do that, because I haven't find any good ads system, and Google ads sucks in my Spanish pages.

Who the heck is going to click that?

That's why I earn $1.20 with my 1700 unique visits a day.

Now I wonder, how much would cost those ads in my sites?

And then, how much would cost Entrecard Advertising? No doubt it's a great system they make, and it's free (and I hope it continues like this).

I really don't know because I'm a noob in all this but I want to realize so I will check pages and then I'll write another post, to write how well is going each blog in Google, now they both are bad but I think it's because they are new.

I want to know this because I want to sell ads in this site in the future when I have more traffic.  I wait for that day to come, lol.

Well that's not the name but I think it's something like this.

I don't like doing this kind of meme because it's like a chain e-mail, and I hate them. But this one I think is good, like giving back something to all those who have given you EC spending their time in your site. And that is something I'm grateful about.

Finally! My Entrecard at John Chow's Blog

When I signed at Entrecard I did it because I read about it in John Chow's Blog and he wrote: "How To Get a Free Ad on John Chow dot Com" after some time in Entrecard I realized that getting your card at johnchow.com could be really hard, but finally some days ago I saw his spot not full and I took the opportunity.

Now, my Entrecard is in that blog and I'm happy because of this. I wonder how many clicks can I get from there, the blog that provided me with the most clicks until now is Latest Free Downloads from iTunes, (40). johnchow.com is the third most recommended so it most be good.

My popularity in Entrecard has been declining, from being the top 4 to now being the top 14, so this mean, stopping dropping card affected this status 3 days later. Now I want to know if I can recover.

I made this design for a Jpop blog that I started some days ago, and I really like it so now I'm using it in this blog and with this change I changed my Entrecard too.

How many Entrecard contests?

There are so many contest where you can win some ec (entrecard credits). The first ones offered something like 100ec, then I saw200 or 300, but now they are about 500ec for the winner.
Before I continue; I'm not introducing a new contest... at least for now.
As I have thought it seems that ec devalue with time. Well I'm not 100%, all this is very new, but I think that with time the entrecard credits will cost less.
Why? well, making 300ec from dropping your card to others' blog is not much, I think, but if you do it well and learn where yo have to drop your card you are gonna make that many many users drop their cards to you. And the number increases rapidly.
This is what I mean, these are my statistics:

Well, the first graphic is the number of cards dropped by me in others' blogs and the other graphic is the number cards dropped by other members in this blog. I drop more than I receive as expected, for now, but while I don't drop regularly, one day I dropped about 4 times and the next I didn't drop at all, the cards dropped by others are constant, and this is enough to get here:

Right now I'm the top 6 most popular card, but I've being top 4, and this gives me many drops. And as long as entrecard gets more popular and there are more members the ones in the top-anything can get more drops. Ok, no everyone will be in the top but newcomers have many drops too, because there is more people that waits to get that easy 2ec cost advertising.
Maybe the increment in ec earning will stop increasing, and maybe it will be in an average of 600 for active members, but then the prizes of the contests will need to be of some thousands ec.
Anyway I'm having too much fun driving traffic to my blog with entrecard, at first my only traffic was from entrecard, but now I have google visits, cool, entrecard really works.

I'm the top 30 most popular at Entrecard

This may not mean a thing, and I'm pretty sure it doesn't but today I realized that I'm in the last place in the list of top 30 most popular campaigns in Entrecard.

This only could mean that I'm the top 30 most active member, maybe, but this is something, and maybe someone would want my ad spot because of this (maybe not).

This table changes every moment so I can easily get of of this list (I'm on the edge), but this are my 5 minutes of fame.

Edit: Besides, it seems that my traffic will double by the end of the day, so it's more likely that someone want my ad spot now, soon I'll have a decent traffic.

My Experience in Entrecard so far

I'm kind of amazed for the way Entrecard is working in my site, so I share my little experience with the system (and maybe I can win a free advertise in Entrecard's blog ^^U).

In Entrecard each advertising card space start costing 2ec (Entrecard credits), but advertising in your blog rapidly rise it's cost by receiving cards that other Entrecard users leave when visiting your site. This is the best part, all the traffic you receive from the Entrecard web page are bloggers. We all know blogger are good readers too, if they like your page they will become frequent readers and in many cases they'll become feed readers.

That's why I think at the end this site will end doing better than my Spanish blogs.

Entrecard have four useful graphic statistics, these are mine:

Card Drops:

This shows the number of cards you receive in your advertise space from other Entrecard users. If this rate is high your advertise cost will rise, maybe my rate is too high because my advertise cost have raised too much this few days, and I don't receive advertise offers now. My advertise cost is 71ec, that's much for my site (maybe it's a bad Idea to write this, but I'm too sincere ^^). I'd wish I could sell my advertise space cheaper, for now.

As you can see, the very first day I received 26 card drops, and this was only some hours in the night.

Advert Click:

This is the most important, this shows the number of clicks made from the advertises you buy and place in others spaces, if this number is big it means it's working for you, mine is not, but it's because I have not managed to buy advertising in the best blogs, first they were very expensive to buy, and now they are all sold out. It's just matter of keep trying, it's the amusing part of the system.

Organic Click

I receive more Organic Clicks than click from advertising. Well, this mean almost all my readers are bloggers. The more clicks you have here the more attractive your card is for other members, well, mine is not that hot. This number changes from day to day in an arbitrary way, I don't know why is that, maybe one day the hobbies category shows at first too much and the next day it doesn't, but I don't think so.

Your Drops

This shows how active you are, how many times you leave your card in other's blog. I think I'm very active, I drop too much cards a day. This part of the system is amusing too. I have added about 10 new feeds to my reader since I started dropping cards, there's a lot of interesting blogs out there.

In weekend I'm more active because I have all day to sit and read, visit blogs, make blog posts and check all my RSS feeds that I have not read.

Problems I see in Entrecard

• The first and most important to me is the cost of the advertising is not based in the daily impressions of the widget, so when you buy a space you don't receive always what you pay. I think the price of the ad spots get more expensive with time, and I'm not sure but if it does it's really bad.
• You need to work too much to have better places to advertise (make a good card, look for better sites to advertise in, and drop your card) and still it's not sure that your ad-spot is going to be accepted.
• New user get their spot full really soon, that gives to them too few ec to use later.

Strong point I see in Entrecard

• The obvious one: you have the chance to one day if you work hard and Lady Luck looks at you, you can have your card displayed for one day in blogs like JohnChow.com, Internet Dreamer, John Cow or Pro Blogger!
• You get many bloggers visit your site, and so many RSS feed readers and many recurrent readers.
• You visit many good blogs while dropping cards.
• The most important: it really works, I mean you get traffic to your site, that's what it's made for.

I have to do this

I can't help but comparing this Entrecard system with Blogrush, and Entrecard is much more effective.

In the first weeks of Blogrush I entered my Spanish blog that have about 1,300 unique visits and 2,800 hits a day and I received... about 0 visits from Blogrush, if I run Blogrush in my site now is because this blog have not many widgets and I don't have to move a finger to use Blogrush (that's what they promised).

I wonder how are other's doing with their Entrecard, so I'm going to visit other's reviews of Entrecard at the contest.

I joined Entre Card

There are really many ways to get more traffic to a blog, and many blogs that talk about it, this is not one of this, but this EntreCard thing is something amusing.

I joined EntreCard first with my most visited blog, but after some hours of having fun leaving card to everyone my account was abruptly canceled without a warning, at first I was very disappointed but then I realized that it was my mistake, my big mistake, one of the few things the page warns you before yo sign up is that your page have to be in English, one more reason for me to write in English.

Well, how it works? At first it seems something hard to use this EntreCard but after some minutes of using the system it becomes addictive. Here's a little video explanation that say almost nothing but it might help.
